But if you are used to download for free...yes, it can seem to you that way.
Overall, I learned over the years that free download kills quality. Look at Private, Wood-ent, the old Redlightdistrict or Anabolic,s.o.
They have reduced the products and quality because the piracy. What Pierre does is to launch a title, offer it for pre-orders, and when an enough number of pre-orders accumulate (at least to allow him to recover his costs), only then he ships all the orders, at once, to avoid -at some level- the piracy effects.
Sooo...if you want gorgeous girls and nice locations, you pay! If you want fat ugly old women, use file sharing...

This is a double edge sword,you really need to have some good stuff and advertising policy (which costs indeed) to get people paying 40 bucks for a dvd.
i think it would be better to include at least a free month trial to its website so that people get a lot more than a few scenes
and may suscribe it they like them.
Remember that if you think you are smarter than the crowd you really need to have a strategy that is really above average because if not you will get punished hard.
Direct download has also its pros,you only have to substract the bandwidth cost (very low today) from the purchase price,no intermediaries.
i think viv thomas strategy that built a sizable customer base and a confidence relationship with them via its forum and by delivering hi quality releases constantly is now capitalizing on its long term work.
Pierre seems to be to versatile,in the long term it costs you.you do not even know if its new website will last cause he is very capable of closing it as soon as he thought he found a smarter idea...

Hey, I buy 2 DVDs from US-online shop for the same price. And that's movies which have location, lightning, camerawork, ... not only a static camera in a hotelroom and in the end you only see Woodmans hairy ass. No, 40.- Euro is way too much, I will not buy it for this price.

To donwloading for free: That's only a thing for people who didn' care about quality. I want to see porn movies on my TV in the best quality possible, and so I pay for it. But for sure not 40.- Euro per DVD. Woodman Entertainment must not be astonished if they don't sell very much copies. I'm not crazy, man. And if this is the strategy of the future, that a DVD only is released if there are enough pre-orders, then good night to porn.
