No, of course i dont take such banter too seriously.. If i pause to think, there's a lot of truth in all sorts of anti-American sentiments. I share many of them myself, but you know how it is: I get a little defensive if i hear criticism from the outside. It's like your own family: you know all there faults and may even mention these to others. But if an outsider says something negative, even if there's some truth in it, you will jump to their defense..

I'd say throughout the decade i've tended to favor eurobabes over americans in general. Only in the last year have i really begun to discover a number of fresh new girls or veterans i've overlooked, like Tiffany Holiday. There's so much "chaff" to sift out in the US talent pool to get to the "wheat". I've often remarked that without the rise of some many hot Latinas, we'd be left with a real lackluster bunch of cookie-cutter, plasticized, bleach-blond bimbos.. Few of the American girls i really like got the recognition they deserve this year. I'd love to see Amber Rayne or Franchezca Valentina win the "Unsung Starlet" award...

But as for the Euro Performer AVN, i'm sure they'll screw it up. Claudia deserves a lifetime achievement at this point.. I've never been big on Melissa L, even tho she's an impressive extreme performer. As for the others, there are some real lookers & impressive performers there (tho not necessarily both qualities in the same girl: take Peaches or Eve Angel, for example!), but none come close to Regina for me personally. I really think she was at the peak of her career in last year's releases, and whatever the future holds, she'll probably never match that output.

There's a really interesting interview with Regina in the BTS, where she tells that one of her future plans in this business is to get a visa for the US and work and live a while there. I've never heard anything about Regina wanting to come stateside, but she doesn't post any bulletins or blogs on MySpace. Unfortunately, I'm obliged not to "disturb" her, so i dont send her any personal messages asking questions. She does post lots of pix, however, including many candid or personal shots. Lovely stuff.

To the AVN list: I would give the award to Claudia Rossi. She's a top performer since 5 or 6 years now, and therefore would have earned it.

I'd certainly be happy to see Claudia win. I haven't seen any of her recent stuff; however, i'd assume her best stuff is from some years back. BTW i hear from her occasionally on MS, she's a very sweet & straightforward girl, not too wrapped up in the porn scene these days, i'd say.
