I always had sineplex/legalporno in my list of site to join, but until now I've been put off by its reputation as a terribly buggy/almost impossible to use site (yes I'm a chicken)... I always told myself, wait a little until it get sorted, and each time it went back to the bottom of the list...

Anyway, after reading the last messages, and after checking out the site, I finally was just about to sign (and for three months to start, I don't believe in false economy for porn!), when today I stumbled into this last message!

So, what is this terrible 'confirmation' thing, that apparently could be even *impossible* to pass?

Yes, I certainly could sign and see from myself, but I'm asking in public purposefully, because I think that a reassuring answer maybe could benefit other people that -like me- are holding back...

You have to pass attestation (or how ever it is spelled) to access the premium scenes. Basically they reserve a small amount 0.01-2 dollars/euro from your bank account and you have to give the amount they reserved to prove the credit card is yours.

so it is the same annoying (and basically useless) trick that some us video shops used back then (I think that the last time I saw it was around 2005 or so)...

ok, one can live with it if it is a one time check... but if it is for *each* scene instead then it would be sheer madness!...

and even as a one time check it can be a royal pain in the ass: for me (but I suspect that it is widespread since it is a major card and a major EU bank) charges in a foreign currency shows up in the current month list already converted in the local currency + commission, the only way of knowing the exact amount of the original charge is to wait for the publication of the full statement for the previous month... or alternatively to call the customer service and ask if they can tell you the original amount because some pesky little adult sites uses this as a security measure...

talk about alienating customers! would not be a better idea to simply say that one could buy a premium scene only after the first monthly renewal? waiting a month it is annoying too for sure, but less than not being able to purchase anything through no fault of your own, as allegedly (see the message above) sometimes is the case... and what about going with those newfangled secure scheme available both from Visa and Mastercard? yes, surely it will cost something more in commission for the merchant, but it is my understanding that with them it is a LOT less easy to disavows a purchase on the costumer's side...

^I was sort of a member for a few minutes but had to cancel when I came upon what I consider a scam. I refuse to play along with their one time charge for an unknown amount. No offense but if they truly wanted to make sure that my card wasn't stolen then why wouldn't they have done that prior to accepting to charge me 30$ to access the site? If my card was good enough to give me access to their so called free stuff then shouldn't it also have been good enough for the premium content? The fact that the amount you get charged is secret is a big problem for me because there is no way for me to know prior to the transaction if the amount is a 1$ or 100$. They can claim whatever they want on the site but it's confirming without seeing an amount is plain stupid. That's why I refused to play along and told them to cancel my membership without streaming or downloading s single scene.

I explained everything to them and the best they could offer me was to credit me 10$. That's right I never streamed or downloaded as single thing and was a member for a few minutes but the best they could do was return 10$ on my credit card. For that I will never join their site and I tell anyone to stay far away from them.

I can't understand your complains... nearly nowhere else is so much stolen than in porn-bis (video-clips). So.. why the producers shouldnt protect their videos as best as possible?
BTW ... the same credit-card-confirmation-process is used by PAYPAL (at least 5 years ago when I became a member of paypal)!

It is their site and they have a right to run it however they see fit. I understand the frustrations some have experienced, but overall my experience has been positive.

Sure the attestation process was a bit of a pain in the ass. But not a real big deal. I have had a few problems along the way, but these have always been addressed promptly and to my satisfaction (usually by Tim, who has been mentioned in some of these threads and he is a very helpful guy).

Anyhow, my message is simply a positive one about the site. Great material that is worth whatever minor inconveniences one might experience from time to time. Maybe some have had truly bad experience - I can`t know - but my experience with the site had been positive. And the material is great.....that`s the reason to join.

Now bring on more Katie Gold, Cayenne and Timea.....and loads of nasty pissing scenes too!!! Thanks

^&^^How does charging my card an unknown amount of money prevent me or anyone else from then uploading all of their premium scenes to tube and torrent sites once I have confirmed that it's my card? I mean that extra security didn't prevent me from joining the site because you are only asked for that once you're a paying (I emphasize the word PAYING) since that is what I was when I got the request. I'm glad both of you are happy with the site but that doesn't change the fact that it's the only porn site to do that and I can't see how it prevents their scenes from appearing on tube and torrent sites.

Their scenes have "Fingerprints" on the video. So when you buy a scene and generate a file to yourself and upload it to torrent etc they can track the scene back to your account and close it or in severe cases try and sue you. This is a bit worrying of course as if someone hacks your account and uploads the scenes. On the other hand they lock your account pretty easily if something seems a miss. For example someone logs from IP in different country to your account etc and you have to contact support to unlock it.

...I agree, the scenes can be found on the net, but they are losing customers!!!
