i have a 3d tv, i rarely use it for 3d due to the lack of good movies with it (i have piranha 3d and SAW in 3D BD)
may i ask mr peter to give us his preferences for 3d format? as a consumer, it bores me to death to even know which competing standards are out, and i would assume that the general public is pretty much like me (for once) - let's hope betamax will win over vhs this time

Interesting question tough to answer. I think my preferences for 3d format are not important from current end-users' point of view.
For end-users there is no need to be confused by them since many of them have specific use, some of them are more specific to each manufacturer etc.
Some of them are quite setting a stardard for cable/satelite broadcasting, some of them are sticked to the specifications (BD).

I think more importnat are 3D viewing technologies that goes in conjunction with formats and are especially in the end-user evolving on a daily basis. Altghough if they'r rapidly bringing proven ideas from professional area, they are still in baby years. Unfortunately some concepts cannot be transfered directly from pro world (it will be too expensive or too complicated for home user) so it takes time and thats why some new 3D formats (not technologies) were developed and caused a little confusion to the consumers.

For producers it doesnt change too much, you just have to ensure you capture 3D in a proper way (both technically and artistically) to have a good stereo effect.
(for example Im really curious how porn producers will deal with those almost medical closeup shots which are pain to shoot in stereo, if they will not avoid those shots at all ). The rest is just a matter of postproduction and conversion to appropriate format.

And end-users are pretty much left alone with what the market will offer to them. I think one more year and the standards will be quite set for both lower-end and higher-end section of 3D consumer market. For lower-end I think it will be passive 3D LED TVs, for high-end active 3D flatbacklit LED TVs or plasmas. The main areas to improve are to overcome the resolution limitation (that is already true for most active models) and to limit 3D image crosstalk (aka ghosting).

Just one thing, I think this year has proven that non-glasses technology is pretty much wrong way. The 3D effect simply is not that great (I have seen like 3 different setups for last 2 years and it was bad).

For content producers making it available online on the internet its a tough decision because unlike cable/satelite TV you really dont know which way the user is going to use for viewing (3D PC monitor or projector with a software player, HTPC, hardware player, 3D TV...). If u want to be universal Side-by-side (left-right) format for active or passive polarizing displays is pretty much a format to choose, unfortunately unlike cimenas you are losing half of the image resolution.
Just personally I think full resolution 3D format i sbetter than side-by-side format ifor online content distribution.

We received few requests from our customers to return back standing anal position (that was replaced to fucking on stool position in latest scenes)
Is it really important? If so, we can return standing anal back instead of bar chair position
