Very interesting opinion.
I think I can explain, why people are asking you such a questions. People want to know more about porn and pornstars. We can easily find materials like this.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1892037/ It is very good that performers can explain their own position about such things. Here is a good example. This is a fragment of Ashli Orion interview. I remember you did a scene together with this cute girl. I like when you are working barefoot and I remember this scene.
Pepe: „Last year it was a HIV case in porn valley and 21 disclosed cases of VIH were found since 2004, Do you thing the adult industry does enough to protect the girl’s and the men’s safety and health?”
Ashli: „I knew that when I entered this business I’d be taking a risk of contracting STDs. All jobs have risks associated with them. I once worked at a daycare and was constantly sick. In the past 3 years, I have been pretty healthy. The thing about porn actors is that we all have a mutual respect for eachother and the health of our "money makers." We all [hopefully] want to make sure we are clean! A person is not allowed to perform unless they have been tested within 28 days. I’ve used condoms for companies like Wicked and BangBros and it’s not a big deal… but I must admit, I would much rather fuck without a condom.”
http://www.lukeisback.com/?p=13987 I absolutely agree with you. Every policeman, fireman, stuntman and many others take the risk every day, when they go to work. If something is dangerous, it not mean that this is a bad. Sex without condoms is dangerous of course, but it is not bad, because it give pleasure for many people!
On the other side porn is not work for everybody! Everybody cannot be toreadors. Everybody cannot drive like Alonso. I think it is very important to know about risk factors in porn. Fans should appraise this work. I think it is not bad, if they are trying to do that.
Most performers are afraid to talk about STDs cases, if bad things are happen. Why? If professional sportsman are injured in a game, fans try to support him. It is not shame. It is professional risk and fans respect it. It would be nice, if fans could support their porn heroes too.
After first HIV scare in 1998 I read a lot about risk factors in porn. I hate condoms. I was scared that condoms will become absolutely necessary. One of my favorite stars Jessica Darlin answered this question:
Will you be going all condom?
I don't like condoms. I never have. I admit I will not use a condom until they become absolutely mandatory, and even then I would probably just quit. I love bareback sex, and I got into the business knowing the risk. I have always been willing to take the good with the bad. I got into this business because until lately there record regarding HIV was close to perfect. I believe that the fans are smarter than the industry gives them credit for being. The fans know that unprotected sex is a death sentence in today's society. We aren't immortal. We are fantasy. If we weren't providing fantasy a lot more cases of rape and AIDS would pop up due to sexual frustration. Sex can be fun, but sex can be dangerous. A lot of things are both of those things. If we stopped doing everything that was dangerous our lives wouldn't be worth living.
http://www.rogreviews.com/interviews/jessica_darlin.asp After 12 years we can continue to watch condom-free porn. This is possible because we have an awesome performers like you. Great respect! Of course, fans are different but I think real fans knows, who are Silvia Saint, Rita Faltoyano, Angel Dark, Julia Taylor, Olga Cabaeva and other stars.
