Thank Javier for the message. I think it's good he's taking time to be involved in this thread. I totally understand why Sineplex wants to take a stand on this and do sympathise with their position/other pornographers.

I agree with Javier that it's unlikely that people will sue over this especially when they're in different jurisdictions...it's not really worth anyone's time and effort. Yet, this could cause trouble for Sineplex in other ways.

For example, Sineplex have to be rather careful how they draft the terms and conditions. They'll definitely need to avoid legalese and make it as clear as possible that serious consequences will occur if an individual attempts to crack the DVD Protection.

Quite simply, there's the distinct possibility that if the conditions are not clear enough, Sineplex could end up with the situation that their site/company is classified as a harbouring and foisting adware/malware on consumers which is obviously not what they want particularly if Mozilla or anti-spyware programs classified them as such. If Sony's Anti-Circumvention technology was classified as a Rootkit, then it's quite feasible that this will be categorised as malware too. Hence, is this something Sineplex are prepared for?

Moreover, I think Sineplex really need to be cognisant of the fact that someone will crack this technology eventually too. It's only a matter of time. Thus, are Sineplex ready to enter into a technology war?

With regards to Evil Angel, I deal with clients' who suffer greater levels of piracy. I'm pretty sure that if I handled their Anti-Piracy solution, I could reduce their piracy levels significantly. It can be done.

Seems Sineplex lost a lof of time trying to find a technical solution once and forever, but there is no once and forever and certainly not for Russian hackers.
Still, I am sympathizing a lot with them since I know what`s their quest.

I have more than 100 original Sineplex DVD's and I feel realy sorry that they decided not selling DVD's anymore

This DVD2burn is totally bullshit. Downloading complete DVD's and burning to DVD by myself and printing even the cover by myself has nothing to do with collect original DVD's. From the view of a collector and high quality fan as I am, that would not be the same feeling like having an original. That DVD with selfprinted cover and so on, would look like a copy from emule, usenet or rapidshare...

So it's allways the same: The guys who pay for the stuff gets punished! In the pc-games and music industry it's the same. I pay for all that shit and get games which install adware tools and so on or buy music CD's which I can not play on my PC or in my car and so on... I think you know what I mean: the guys who download that stuff illegal haven't these probs with their ripped music...
And with that DVD2burn shit it will be the same. People who download sineplex movies from illegal sources will do that in the future, too.

My point is clear: I will not support that. I will not pay for a half product. I will spend my money for evil angel, devilz or 21sextury stuff which sell orignal DVD's.

I hope sineplex will think about that and will sell original DVD's, too - because I loved their stuff the last years. They made realy a good job!!!
