Hi Wiska!
Well, I think move to Prague can be a good idea but I really don´t know how things work there. If there´s any Czech citizen taking part here in EBI forum (I guess there´s some) maybe can give you a little guidance and information. Good luck and keep in touch.

I will add, what to my name in Prague registered a construction company that does not work, because I can not legally provide the documents to travel to the Czech Republic. The Czech government by any means preclude the Ukrainians. But I am law-abiding mother with two beautiful kids of three and eight years old!My husband is a Russian citizen and he will get permission to stay in the Czech Republic in the spring of next year, but to our regret I can not do that!
Therefore, is considering the status of refugee.
In addition, we intend to buy flats in Prague.
Thanks for the tips!

Hello Wiska !
The asylum solution is difficult, but if you are threatened in your country without reason (only because of your individual behaviour, that is normal in other european countries since you are good mother in your family), maybe it can work ... it is interesting solution to study. But it depends from each country also.

Dear Wiska,
If your husband is Russian you should be able to get a Russian passport, too, no?
The asylum option is difficult I think, but it would be better to try it instead of risking to get your children taken away by those Ukrainian gvt. thugs.
I think if you can proof that you are persecuted in Ukraine, Czech canot deport you that easily. Tourist visa in this case would be a valid option. Still, of course they`d ask you why you choose Chech and not Russia for refuge. But with Putin you find reasons against Russia I guess.
I wish you all the luck you need! :)

PS: Haveing you in a Europorn capital would be great, too, indeed! 8)

Wiska, you are right. In all european countries (whatever the differences), good mothers keep their children with them and do not go to jail. They are free to be actresses.
Nobody must do you harm !

Hi Wiska.
To me your idea sounds a bit far-fetched. The EU countries are very reluctant when it comes to aknowlegding someone as a political refuge. Usually they only accept it when the life of a person is endangered or if the person is a known political activist. Although the freedom of profession is a human right too I don't think EU members accept this argument that easily. Many EU members, like my country Germany, constantly violate this law and are taken to EU courts because of this. To me your case sounds like one of these endless legal battles. You argue with the freedom of profession, the EU country doesn't accept it, and the only solution is a EU court. But i'm not even sure if you as a non- EU person can go to a EU court, and it's damn expensive too.
EDIT: although the legal action by the Ukrainian authorities against you is actually a pretty good argument. But every EU country is different, and as I said, the freedom of profession is violated by many EU countries. But what can you lose?! Probably not much.

Since your husband is a Russian, why not simply get the Russian citizenship? Sure, it's still difficult to get to Budapest or Prague, but at least you can work in your area without legal trouble?

And about buying flats in Prague: I don't know if you realize this Wiska, but Prague is a very expensive town, to expensive for many Czechs. Are you more wealthy then the Czechs?

U can not buy a flat if u don't partnership with a Czech citizen in any way or have some lawyer firm help u do so and it's a service u will pay for.
Same for a having a company.
As far as an expensive country, depends your revenues.
As a French citizen (and a fully western fuck!), to me Czech republic is quite cheap (food, drinks, rentals).
Real estate is also decent while prices are increasing but there still are a lot of opportunities.

Maybe u could marry Mr.Peter ::: or someone else for a while to get citizenship and then divorce to get back to your husband by the times he makes it to Czech rep.

I'm just not sure about the whole refugee/harrassed situation happening to u in Ukraine beeing a good reason for other countries to help u.

Adult stuff scares way too much people and no one wants to get involved at some point.

I'm trying to get some infos tho for u, hope i come with some that makes u step up but it's quite difficult.

Keep it strong A.

Thanks for your response, Karasek. I think you exaggerate!
me - a mother with two children will be cast out of the country, that is to deport? I do not want to believe in such a cruel attitude of Czechs.
And I will tell you that life in Ukraine is expensive! In addition, most items are very poorly, and some products are dangerous for health! I was in the Czech Republic and some lived there.

Since the beginning of this year, foreigners have the right to purchase real estate without a legal entity.

@Wiska:

Asking for Asylum is always big Politics. If the Czech Republic grants Asylum to someone from the Ukraine, this means, that the Czech Government believes, that Human Rights are violated over there. And even if this is true: This would not be too good for the political Climate of two nearly neighboring Countries!
For Example last Year the United States granted Asylum to A Family from Germany, because our Government refused to allow them to get their Children homeschooled. This was a big, big political Issue!
What I want to say: I think your Attempt will fail. Not because of juristical Reasons, because I believe the Ukrainian Government highly violates Human Rights, but for political Correctness. But you got nothing to lose, so you should at least try it!

You don't know how cruel our western democracies can be, Wiska. There are refuges from the Balkans. They came here 20 years ago because of the Balkan war. Their children were born here, speak only the local language, like German, and have absolutely no connection to the Balkan peninsula. And yet, after the war ended, our governments wanted to deport these children to these destroyed countries. Do you think your case is worse? The attitude of the authorities will be: stop doing porn and everything is OK, otherwise hire a lawyer and come again.

Fallons argument is good too. In two years Poland and the Ukraine will host the EURO 2012. The Ukraine will not like it if some EU country openly declares that the Ukraine violates human rights, and the EU in return doesn't want to spoil the party.

It should also be mentioned that some EU countries are more willing to follow your argument than others. The BeNeLux countries, Skandinavia, France, maybe Germany, in this special case probably weigh the freedom of profession higher, whereas in other, Catholic, countries the moral question plays a big part too. But to me your case is a gamble.

And btw., Wiska: appartments in Prague start at ~80.000€ (900000UAH), as far as I know. I think you can get entire houses on the countryside for this price.

PS:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU,
happy birthday to you,
happy birthday dear Wiska,
happy birthday to you.

@Wiska:

Just seen on Facebook, that your Husband has A German-sounding Name. Is he an ethnic German, like so many Russians? If so, it should be not a big Problem to get German Citizenship and move over here with you and your Children...Check that!
