This is true, i've never been to Russia. And i know next to nothing. What prompted my comment was a report i saw on the BBC last week examing how all the hard won economic gains (and potential political gains) by the emerging Russian middle class, which have been over the last 5 or so years, have been largely erased in the current worldwide economic crisis.

Anyway, i was talking about fashion, not style. Russian women have had great style for centuries...



My real interest, however, is in Uzbeki & Tadjiki women,, they know fashion in Central Asia

Haha yes, i can believe it, "marry an oligarch" -- the highest aspiration of a Russian girl. Second, "marry a foreigner" to escape.. I've seen the prostitutes in Moscow in mini-skirts in the middle of winter, unbelievable, but they do it here in the Northeast US & Canada too!
