a) extreme studio lightning blowing out the picture and
b) unnatural "retouched look" color grading.

The opposite of natural clear crisp picture. I really hate it, ruining scene after scene.

Especially the sperm in the models mouth look like some kind of blurry undefined white paint instead or real sticky sperm. Do they deliberately want to make the scenes look as weak, harmless and unnatural as possible?

it started when G (and the apes) took over and G is not going to change his style. there were some exceptions from him (eg Kate Rich). Maybe its also the owner who wants it like that. Well, PB was always notorious for the uneven visual quality. Remember the horrible orange era etc? Also worth to keep in mind that Giorgio and the filming team are not responsible for the post process editing and colograding, which is a big part, that's done by PB.

It's very odd that they in all these years have had issues, but not in one single direction indicating that it's because of someones specific preferences. We have had all kinds; overexposed and blown out, grey and dull, orange, oversaturated, undersaturated, restouched and filtered, etc. Anything but just a normal raw clear and and natural image. There's some exceptions here and there over time, but so far these seems to be purely by accident...

It's also odd that the french scenes, whether one like them or not, never was victims of the same unnatural processed colorgrading as the scenes from Madrid.

Do you have a proof about that? If I remember correctly, I saw one time during the covid era when PB rent an apartment, in BTS, there was one room with a computer and a video editing program open.
