Anyone agree with me that the cumshot has become less exciting over the years? Back when I became a consumer of video/DVD porn (about 10 years ago) it seems to me that they were a good deal more explosive than now. I remember one in particular from Rocco Never Dies 2 where about 4 guys surround a girl with dyed red hair after a gang bang session and blow off pretty much in unison all over her face and tits. It was astonishingly hot and nasty and I naively assumed most gang bang cumshots would be of that standard. I don't think it's been neared since, sadly.

There's a simple reason for this. For some reason, directors now favour guys climaxing sequentially. I suspect it's to add length to a scene, but someone on another forum recently mentioned that porn guys don't want the risk of getting some other guy's cum on them. I would say that's a minor occupational hazard but here's why I don't like the sequential (ie one guy after another) cumshot.

(1) It isn't realistic. In the unlikely event that a guy was involved in a gang bang "IRL" I'm fairly sure he'd want to maximise his penetration of the girl and come shortly after. There's no way you'd want to just fuck her a little bit then join a long queue and effectively just masturbate yourself over her face when it becomes your turn. It's a waste, really. I think you'd want to come a little quicker and in a more spontaneous way than a polite queue system.

(2) For the viewer it's a problem. Let's not beat around the bush, guys - we're wanking off to these films. So in the older days of tighter edits and group cumshots as a horny viewer you had an optimum point to build your stroking up to. An ideal porn scene does end with the viewer climaxing with the male lead(s), I think. But if there's a bunch of cumshots, you're left with a dilemma. Do you aim for the first? The last? The "best"? Some other? I personally tend to find my dick gets hardest as the sex escalates to its hardest point so I want a quick edit to a quick-ish cumshot to finish me off, as an ideal. With most current gang bang porn I tend to climax before the cumshots, as going into that whole protracted sequence I just find my dick has gotten less hard.

I would temper this by saying that I think porn in general has improved massively in that 10 year period. The cumshot isn't the be-all-and-end-all for me. But it does seem the one thing old porn has over new porn and it's a real shame the stronger content of current porn with the (mostly) nastier new girls can't be married to the old cumshots.

One thing I'd say to any directors who might see this is not to be afraid of taking 10 minutes off a scene to make a better cumshot. For me most current scenes are too long anyway. 20/30 minutes is about optimum for me.

Vulture I could not agree with you more. The recent Lulu Cum for Cover scene was awesome and I think the multiple cumshot needs to be done a little more often myself. It adds a different and to me much hotter face covering. Count me in on this idea!!

Ah no, because it's not really the size of the load that matters for me, albeit a big load does help. It's more the strength, isn't it? You can have a really strong orgasm that doesn't produce much sperm but still looks great on screen. As I see it, anyway.

I agree too with you Vulture, I would also add that more and more girls seem too be cum dodgers in general. Being from the US I must say that American porn has some great cum covered series out, I just wish these euro babes and producers would follow suit.

Porn has nothing to do with what is realistic, but all with what is not. Realistic, however, are the conditions under which porn scenes are producerd and just for the photo stills to be shot it is not a good idea as a director at all to let those studs cum whenever they want.

Producing additional lenght sounds like a minor motivation for producers instead. I mean they can easily add some lenght by longer tease parts for instance.

I think they are used a lot indeed, and who is afraid of body fluids should better not work in this biz. But its funny and odd at the same time for the viewer and I am not sure I`d want to watch this frequently. I`d rather concentrate on a girls face glued one by one instead I think.
