Hi,

Is it just me or did someone else also notice the lack of foreign language skills among Hungarian babes? I'm the first one to admit that it must be hard for them to learn another language, since Hungarian is quite different from the rest of the European language family. But every Hungarian I ever met strangely spoke either English or German, and Hungarians are also quite known here (in Germany) for their mastery at least of the German language. So, what happened? Is the education that bad nowadays? Are these girls not the brightest? Do they all just speak a different language instead of English?
Sorry to ask, but my experience with Hungarians is just so different. Or did I get a wrong impression?

On the oposite way, I believe there is much more hungarian speaking (even bad) german or english, than german or american models speaking hungarian

well isn't it sarcastic that such a statement comes from a man who lives in a country that is well-known for it's arrogant behavior towards foreign languages?

I never expected Hungarian cuties to speak a foreign language...this is not required in a porn set and, maybe, that's why they are so good...they focus more on the action

I for one would love to see them fluent in some digestible foreign language. Be it English, German or Spanish - I don't care. It's a bummer that web has quite a few potentially interesting interviews with Hungarian girls... in Hungarian. Sure Madison Parker is cute and all but I would love to listen to what she has to say as well.

But even Maria Bellucci, who's pretty fluent in English (no, not for a pornstar - in general) seemed completely lost during chit-chat preceding fucking on one of the sites. So some of them even if they're capable of speaking English may come across as completely lost and inept.

You can't imagine how much you're in the right. When I arrived in France, people were stunned that i know a few words in english, but considered it is a normal thing to speak french.

More seriously, I believe it's a matter of "cultural position in the world"; if you are conviced that you live in "the great" country, you consider that you don't have to learn foreign langage, it's the other's side duty. I presume it's similar in the US. I even noticed the same in some small countries, but convinced of their cultural shinning in the world.
I don't agree with this philosophy, but, hey, I'm just a stranger...

yep, you're absolutely right
"size does matter"
to many people in the world, for example germans, "the americans" are arrogant imperialists because they exactly don't know nothing about any other country in the world and most of them have never been abroad (ok, iraq, vietnam and afghanistan don't count).
but if you ask "our" small neighbors, the swiss or the austrians, about german people, the germans are the arrogant bigheads, because we don't know anything about these countries except that they are excellent skiing locations.
so it's only a size of matter. the bigger your country is, the more the people focus on their own issues. the smaller your country is, they focus on the world outside, especially the "leading countries" of the world.

Well i don't think it's strictly a matter of size (or imperial arrogance). Yes, Americans are notoriously bad with foreign languages, as most Europeans who've encountered American tourists know well. On the other hand, there is little incentive for the American tourist to learn the major European languages since most of the time the Europeans will still speak much better English, at least north of the Alps. And here in the States, while most people get study a foreign language in school for a few years, there is not much opportunity or practical incentive for actually using, and therefore learning it (with the major exception of Spanish). Europe, at least the EU, is now a fully multi-linguistic society, where everyone needs at least some English as a lingua franca. But how many French or Germans bother to learn say Dutch or Hungarian?

And oh yes, despite how much we all love spending time in exotic locals like Iraq etc, few Americans are fluent in Iraqi Arabic, Vietnamese or Pashto/Dari, unless they happen to be refugees/immigrants from such unfortunate counties. A similar situation obtains with the British, French, Dutch & Germans when it comes to Indian languages, Maghrebi Arabic, Indonesian or Turkish...

I found a interesting EU study. Only 25% of all Hungarians speak a second language. That's the last place in Europe! Can't believe it, ... even the Brits and French are better!
On average 64% of all Europeans speak a second language, 28% speak three or more languages (Hungary 7,7%).

So, the girls are good representatives of their country, even in this respect...
