As CC recently put it in a post there is no need at all for storylines in porn films. Especially whole films, I think. Still, if directors suceed to wrap into-the-face gonzo in a small little story, especially a funny one, that`s a nice feature. Woodman actually had some good ideas taken directly from daily (also non porn biz) life in his early movies.
With this thread I`d like to collect some of those funny or simply good story based scenes, where nearly no time is actually lost for the story.



My first example is based on the usually less exciting daily inside biz life itself:

Storylines, no....but with the saturation of gonzo there has been lost a lot of the unpredictability and spark of porn.

For example, I recently saw Christoph's Angel Perverse 11 (universally praised on here) and whilst I find it tough to fault either the male or female performers, it left me cold. I was racking my brain wondering why for a while and I think at least part of the problem is that we see the same predictable settings and no attempt to really introduce a scenario whereby the introduction of sex looks hot and unexpected (save to some extent for the last scene with Jenny Baby, but it's just a little naff and unconvincing for me). The end result just looks and feels a little "porn-by-numbers" for me.

If you're going to go gonzo you need something special, I think. Take Christoph's Hardball 20 (I think) with the 2 scenes Simony Diamond/Sandra DeMarco/3rd hot girl whose name I forget and Jennifer Dark/Claudia Rossi. There's no pretence of anything other than porn sets here but somehow the scenes just radiate heat and nastiness. It helps that they're in slightly unfamiliar (and distinct) settings as well, I think. And that the girls have bags of personality.

Personally I tend to favour "scenario" porn where the participants have what looks like spontaneous sex (ideally partially clothed - especially the girls) the most and sadly it's something we see too little of these days.

I agree Vulture. Today it's the act itself, roughness, gaping, ... that are more imporant than the scenario, the location and the chemistry between the actors.

Just thought about old Clarks films and the scene with the absolutely breathtaking Valentina Valli (aka Natalka) in Beautiful Girls 5 comes to my mind. In this scene you can see all what exceptional good gonzo porn is about. First a very hot tease, the cameraman also talks with the girl, makes the viewer even hotter for the girl. What follows is a fuck full of chemistry, passion and also nastiness. David Perry is so aroused by this fucking hot bitch that he comes like I've never seen him coming in any other scene I saw with him. And Natalka makes it even hotter, denying to suck him off first of all while he comes like crazy, unbelievable hot. This is one of the best scenes I saw until today.

By the way the girl besides Simony Diamon and Sandra de Marco is Jeanna Lee. And it's Hardball 21, not 20.

I think part of the problem with the Angel Perverse series is that they're not quite gonzo but then not quite storyline porn either. Christoph hedges his bets a bit. As such, the scenarios he sets up are a bit camp and unconvincing. I think he's skillful enough to do both styles (and even in the same DVD) but if he's using predictable interior settings he should definitely just go the gonzo route and get some good sexy pre-sex banter out of the girls.
