Hi friends,
so maybe Im the last one who recoved from the Venus 2009 fair. This fair was a little bit special for me. First it was my first VENUS fair in my life, second it was my first fair as an exhibitor and even more it was my first fair as a part of the Parliament Adult Entertainment team which I had and honor to be a part of.
So the preparations for the fair started way before someone of you may start thinking to going there. Someone can say - pfff - its only 400km from Prague and you are a small company. Yes, right, we are the smallest company in the world, but thats the reason. We had to think about the plans, ideas, moving stuff, managing people and everything all by ourselves - and here big thanks goes to the great manager - Freddd.
So finally 13. Oct evening we were packed and ready for our mission to departure on wednesday early in the morning to Berlin.
Lately afternoon on wednesday we all got together in Berlin and started to build our funky and unusual Parliament booth. Why unusual? See below. One cant imagine how the preparations and constructing of the fair look like before you see it with your own eyes. There were hundreds and hundreds of busy working people running around with tools, giving instructions, lorries running with stuff, carpets - everyone had his own role and was doing everything with legerdary German pecision. As the time was approaching midnight every booth was nearer and nearer their final outfit.
By the way The VENUS fair is divided in several halls:
Messe Hall - main one with the well known companies, smaller shows mainly focused to attract and entertain people, make noise, loud music, girls showing off, etc.,
Bussiness area - much calmer halls with even more companies, even smaller shows without superloud music
Trade area - open only for proffesionals interested to make bussiness in the first place - there were a huge amount of distributors of movies, toys, right sellers etc.
Web area - online distrib stuff.
Fetish area - halls focused for people liking fetish, sm, leather, voyeurism etc., clothes.
Show Hall - the hall with the show stage.
This year same as the previous one Parliament booth was located in the Bussiness Area. Now for sure I can say its a good choice. You might think there are a lot more people in the main hall, yes, but the purpose of it is to entertain the visitors. On the other hand, in the Bussiness hall, you
can entertain and attract them as well, but you have calm environment for making bussiness and fullfiling your bussiness plans at the same time, which can be a better option for production company. Plus you are next to the Trade area, which is even better.
My first feeling of the fair was like: Damn, its huge! - and I wasnt even at the end. The next thing was that there was a huge huge amount of toys, clothes and other stuff. You may be surprised how super hi-tech electronics came into the sex toys - for example from programmable inteligent dildos to toys driven by your iPod

.
My last surprise was that many well known production companies had really small and sometimes almost empty booths. Many of them was only
posters glued to the white walls of the booth without any intensions - what a waste of money! And here it was the place where we decided hit the target - I thing the picture says it all:

If we were not the most succesfull company of the fair in the bussiness aspect we were definitely the most craziest booth at least
in the Bussiness area.
Basicly the visitors passing by our booth were divided into two parts:
- one part that was as almost scared but they were at all time checking the hardcore action on the LCDs hided in the corner
- second which was starring at the booth like: What the fuck is this?
Honestly I was laughing at both parts - but most of Germans are super cool in this aspect - nothing bad against them at all.
More to say for example if I compare them to the Czech people in Prag fair - Germans are even more open-minded and enjoying much more actively the shows than Czech people - Czechs are only silently starring at the action while Germans were smiling, yelling, applausing, ... really interesting
experience for me.
Anyway the booths wasnt the only thing where you could feel the crisis a bit - they were dimming or turning off the lights sometimes, etc.
So spending almost 5 days in Berlin was a really fine experience for me.
And I would like to say big THANK YOU to Freddd from Parliament and
St. Dav for everything. Also to The girls:
Cynthia Vellons, Carla Cox, J.Lo., Wiska
, also to Jana Agency, Ivana Matei,
Vincent from Colmax, and all those cool guys that came to our booth. I think we had a great time and Im looking for the next one!
P.S.: If you want to know, what was the best experience for me? Definitely meeting and taking shots with
Bobbi Starr, Dana DeArmond and Bree Olsen (what a cuie

)!
Fïnally I would like to present you some pictures that I took:
