I've been a member of 21Sextury for a while now, but I don't think I'll be renewing because 99% of their scenes just aren't doing it for me anymore. I've tried to figure out why and I've come up with three reasons:
1) Failure to retain or replace top-calibre models
Many of the top models who attracted me to their network in the first place aren't with them any longer or appear only very sporadically (though, for obvious reasons, this is not entirely the network's fault): No more Eve Angel (own DDF website), Zafira (makes only rare appearances, but even then doesn't really look interested any more, though that's perhaps because of point 2 below), no Blue Angel scenes since 2011 (seems as though they've let "Blue Angel Live" die).
Cindy Hope is the only one of my favs who still works for them fairly regularly, though still not enough.
2) Lack of creativity
Maybe it's just the very restrictive nature of their format, but I find the vast majority of their scenes are just plain boring. There's zero sensuality. Take the example of the January 2012 scene Sweet Distraction, with Brandy Smile and Zafira (
http://member.21sextury.com/members/scene/trailer/200082?SID=523369402221311&site=21sextury.com&target=%2Fmembers%2Fscene%2Ftrailer%2F200082&affcode=ODk0MzE6NTo5MQ). These are two beautiful, gorgeous women (even if Zafira is a little overweight now), but the scene just seems fake and forced. It's as if the director said to them, "Hey, girls. There's the bed, here's a dildo. Go and do something sexy together for the next 20 to 25 minutes." No wonder the women can't produce fireworks! I didn't think I'd ever get to the point where I'd be bored watching those two lovelies, but yeah, I did.
3) Maybe I'm just getting jaded.
In 21Sextury's defence, I will say, firstly, that they have a terrific archive of material, and access to it is alone worth the membership fee, and secondly, they don't seem to indulge, as DDF annoyingly does, in constant recycling and repackaging of old scenes. This DDF practice has become so blatant in the case of Zafira (only 1 of her 5 scenes in 2012, as of May 13, is actually a new release:
http://ddfnetwork.com/model/1146/zafira.html) that I'm beginning to wonder whether there's some kind of "you-scratch-my-back-I'll-scratch-your-back" kind of thing going on.
Why would DDF give so much exposure to a model who hardly ever works for them anymore? I wouldn't mind it as much if they at least labelled her repackaged scenes "From the Archives," but they don't. They present them as if they were new releases, which shows that they take their customers for real dimwits. And even a dimwit can go check on her page on
http://www.indexxx.com/models/732/zafira/, or some similar site, to see whether he's being passed old merchandise as if it were new.
By the way, I'm new to this forum and haven't been able to find a DDF thread, similar to the 21Sextury one. Would someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
