Sineplex - All New Scenes Will Be Added Now

I'm looking forward to (hopefully) having the choice of picking and choosing individual scenes and burning my own custom-DVDs. The Sineplex studios were my favorites of '06 and '07, and the preview pics that Gapelover provides are great to see and make the anticipation extreme! And I can understand them wanting protection from scene stealing, but if this is all that's holidng up the sites from starting, then do some software beta testing with some of the first scenes and get the content out there! Sineplex must've had a ton of cash reserves already piled up or has other revenue streams (maybe software protection development ), otherwise I don't know how they've been going for all this time and shooting tons of new scenes without incoming revenue!

But the time this has taken has obviously, and for good reason, created a number of skeptics.

I'm so much anticipating so many new girls and favorite girls getting their raunch on in so many different ways when the sites do open! Just might have to take a few days off of work!

No. If i understand right, all production of Sineplex will be available only online, You will have to download Sineplex DVD and create your copy.

The problem is: how many pornfans will accept Sineplex strategy? EBI fans are only a restricted elite. hundreds, not thousands. the core business is people that buy dvd's in newspare stands, shops and internet dealers and don't recognize a russian babes from an american starlet. Try to count how many Sasha fans are in the world? 99% will reply, who is Sasha?
This is enough for me that i will predict that Sineplex strategy will be a failure.

You both dont consider a third otion: It was all a big big bluff and nothing will ever be released neither online nor on dvd.
I hope it`s not the case of course! And if there exitsts such a danger at least Devils should take over as many sets shot as possible and relase them.

You should wank more Cosmic, just have a look to companies like Brazzers, Reality Kings or 21Sextury they are not focus in DVD distribution, they do it but is not their main business they release the scenes months later and doubt they release all the content they produce in dvd.I think people who buy DVDs are wasting money nowadays, i admit i do it too, but for example im a member of 21 sextury network, and with a monthly payment of 30 €? i have access to more or less 12 sites, all of them with exclusive scenes, updates each week and some of them like clubsandy or pixandvideo updated daily.

The next generation is not dvd generation is the internet generation they are use to get all their stuff through the internet (paying or not) they do not buy copies anymore, they get their video games through steam, windows live, xboxlive etc, music in itunes and so on.

Wil be interesting too see how Evil Angel network does as and how this will affect to their dvd distribution.One site of future EA network

Sineplex is trying to do something really new, trying to find a new solution - provided they are not fake and getting their revenues from somewhere different.
I wish them all the best with it!

Just a couple of comments with regards to the technology that Sineplex propose to use. Maybe I misunderstand your quoted comment (from Xavier?) but is Sineplex knowingly and surreptitiously placing malware onto the DVD to stop an individual from cracking it? If so, regardless of Anti-Circumvention legislation, they're perhaps on dodgy legal ground here especially if it trashes an OS in the process. The Sony Rootkit debacle in 2005 generated massive amounts of negative publicity but it wasn't as bad as this from a legal perspective. I don't know of anything in the WIPO Copyright Treaty, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act 1998, European Directive 2001/29/EC or any other statute which would knowingly permit this kind of activity. Additionally, there are a number of defences to Anti-Circumvention and something like reverse engineering/decompilation may be applicable here. It's something to perhaps consider before going ahead with this.

As someone who has significant experience in co-ordinating anti-piracy strategies (albeit in the music industry), I'm not entirely convinced that the ID system is a piracy panacea either. Nonetheless, it could have some limited success. For example, if Sineplex find someone sharing when they shouldn't (ID Number etc), the best plan would be to permanently ban that individual's access to the website for simply breaking the terms and conditions. However, this could be fraught with problems too.

I think it's entirely wishful thinking to believe that piracy will end soon and that technology is going to facilitate this. Again, I wouldn't want to take the conversation onto a different tangent but it's simply disingenuous to say that ISPs' will reveal data to anyone off the drop of a hat or will simply turn off an individual’s internet connection for merely 1 Copyright breach. In all European countries, ISPs have numerous obligations as enucleated by Directive 95/46/EC (implemented in UK Law by the Data Protection Act 1998) to keep data private unless limited/exceptional circumstances kick in. For these circumstances to occur, someone would have to be sharing a lot.

Moreover, all the above presupposes the fact that law enforcement gives two shits about a porn company in Russia that suffers from a bit of piracy (this is especially pertinent in foreign jurisdictions). That's not an attack on Sineplex but they don't have nearly the international clout of Movie Studios etc to lobby/influence government policy, get their message out in the press and to generally make a nuisance of themselves via legal means.
