Oh my. If Woodman sells his dvds directly, he can't apply the same prices as US companies, isn't that obvious?? Plus, there is a porn tax in France, porn is generally more expensive.

Ok, but that's not my problem. It's his dicision to sell it directly, so there's no competition and he can dictate the price (like a monopoly). And this price for a DVD with material from years ago - like I said, I'm not crazy.

I hope for Pierre that his new concept will work, but I have my doubts. Sure you have something to do against these assholes who upload porn for free. I'm not demonize the downloaders, it's the uploaders which should be chased and punished very hard.

I wish Pierre all the luck he needs and hope he's successful this times. For me the site could be interesting when the castings are available in HD format.

Oh man, how I hate this assholes who upload porn so others can get it for free. They on the very edge to totally destroy our beloved porn business.

Yes, but anyway he must have some company to sell those dvds and I seriously doubt that it's based in France.

Internet was clearly a gold mine for the pioneer as every new media is(tv before etc)for the discoverers.
If you saw reports from earlier porn sites creator they will tell you that people came to them by thousands a day
and money was pouring from nowhere.
Now the web is probably way to crowded to satisfy everybody.I think PW has also high standards in terms of revenue and income
because he earned big bucks when its work meets the people desire(the private years).
I also wondered if people will really get that excited to see scenes from Dlove etc two ot three years after they had been filmed
because the excitment has faded. You are also excited to see a girl in a scene because you wonder you could see her in another scene doing more, but when you know she is retired....
Good luck anyway.

No, Paul, it was a rethorical question.

We can only support what we like, artist, porn director, software house, website (like ours). Otherwise there will be nothing left but spam, Web 2.0 NONSENSE (who fucking cares about that, seriously?) and kids downloading everything that gets posted at mininova or piratebay, even if they'll never watch it or play with it and even if they don't even know how to burn it or play it, because they don't know shit about computers.

Now the web is probably way to crowded to satisfy everybody

I have to disagree. Earnings are still good, the problems are p2p, a weak dollar, less dvds being printed - prices skyrocketed, the idea that no one has to pay for anything on the Net, only n00bs, the sheer quantity of FREE material available and, again, the fact that everything is downloadable, be it on mIRC, some guy's blog or Newsbin.

Pierre Wooman's latest

Postby secluded observer on Fri Feb 20, 2009 11:53 pm

Sbando, I will never forget the moment when I saw the first, big, crystal clear preview pics of "House of Love" on PRIVATE's site using the internet as an impressive promo plattform for this movie.
This month this is exactly ten years ago.
If you consider the developments since then I see it as a time of wasted chances.
