I agree with that to some extent but for me even gonzo flicks should attempt some element of "storyline" to each scene, however basic/trite. For me the best scenes make it look like the sex is spontaneous and unplanned. You don't need a really waffly script for that - it can be as easy as a few words at a bus stop or something. I find the gonzo flicks where it's just a girl sat on a sofa (often a sofa you've seen in a dozen other porn flicks) then some guys walk in naked a bit of a non-starter. But yeah, I don't want an expensive looking drama epic either.

Hmmm...where would I start? Or perhaps it's best not to...there are so many things that annoy me about porn.

Of course, while the female talent is outstanding, the directors, with a few notable exceptions, show little creativity -- either there's none at all or a director comes up with something that works and then redoes it until it's no longer interesting.
