The entire business is dirty and that's not to say that it's any different than, for example, the oil industry, the sneaker industry, or any other in that respect. That's even expressed in what they put out content-wise, that is what I believe part of the rerason behind the lean or shift in content toward the abusive and repugnant crap like gaping, dp, fisting, gagging, choking, etc. It permeates the whole and regulating what is essentially a corrupt and criminal enterprise is just not possible. That's why I believe you have to hook with the right team, who are in fact part of the people making it so terrible and even dangerous. It's the big guys, the underdogs or smallfrys, and the dead (that is people that get leveraged or muscled out). So what to do? Marry a mobster. Then the tests you take will be legit for the people he protects, you can bet your balls on it.

The problem is, porn is a private business, where private rules apply - that is, they do not have outside regulation and everything is done on a voluntary basis, with no mandatory standards. Everyone in the business has to trust everyone else, and when that breaks down, disasters happen.

Since there is no outside regulation, if the wrong people get into it, it will go to the bad.

Making porn is nowhere near as immoral as manufacturing guns or cigarettes and therefore does a lot less harm, but the process of making porn could and should be made safer.

Good question.

Is a cigarette immoral if smoking them eventually kills someone ?

Does a gun only become immoral if used by the wrong person to kill someone else ? Is it moral if it kills the right person (ie Hitler) ?

so I think we agree? I see porn as immoral only if there is coersion such as may have happened to Linda Lovelace.

Any decent porn company would never use coercion. Besides, nowadays, it should be completely unnecessary, as there are enough volunteers.

Last month I was talking to a very experienced performer friend of mine in Prague and he mentioned that soon in europe you will HAVE to have an 'International Certificate'?

I dont know the exact facts of this perhaps some of our insiders can back me up on it? I think this could be a great step towards a safer working enviroment for us in europe. Everyone has to have this same certificate and the results are databased so that directors and companies can verify. A bit like the American A.I.M system i believe?

Lets hope this helps minimse the problems that are happening now?

The International Certificate, if it is what I think it is, that is a standardized testing procedure with a certificate that cannot be faked (maybe with a hologram), is a great idea.

I'm not trying to help anyone but Zoe for whom I would turn 7 shades more sinister than Josef Goebells and make the conservative media look like a loose, disorganized network of lemonade stands. Plus, I don't have anything against porn on the personal level but I think my statements/critique fair and can probably be further justified with ease if I did in fact care on the personal level, that is, more than just that which is in regard to Zoe and her career. Though, I'm not sure what a "anique" is, so maybe my statements here are not congruent with your response.

Sorry, typo. Meant to write "antique" = over and over the same bullshit, the same porn enemy stereotypes.
I dont know Zoes case, but I hardly think this tread is about single cases. What´s at stake is the whole Prague biz and here an "International Certificate" is a BIG leap forward indeed. That´s really good news and should set an end to the porn bashing, the pro/anti-condom crusades, the moral crusades etc.

Is that "International Certificate" Robert Rosenbergs idea/concept?
From when on is it used?

Discussion about condoms in porn always will be actual. This is a time of AIDS. Unprotected sex is unprotected sex! "International Certificate" is good thing, but it is not real protection. Sex without condoms always will be risky. Safety against pleasure - this is the question!
I remember these discussion after hiv outbreak in 1998. Then it was shock in american porn industry. Some biggest american companies and famous performers went condom-only for safety reasons, some retired. I thougt - it is end of condom-free porn, but then I read interview of Jessica Darlin for Rogreviews.com.
Rog asked: Will you be going all condom?
Jessica answered : I don't like condoms. I never have. I admit I will not use a condom until they become absolutely mandatory, and even then I would probably just quit. I love bareback sex, and I got into the business knowing the risk. I have always been willing to take the good with the bad. I got into this business because until lately there record regarding HIV was close to perfect. I believe that the fans are smarter than the industry gives them credit for being. The fans know that unprotected sex is a death sentence in today's society. We aren't immortal. We are fantasy. If we weren't providing fantasy a lot more cases of rape and AIDS would pop up due to sexual frustration. Sex can be fun, but sex can be dangerous. A lot of things are both of those things. If we stopped doing everything that was dangerous our lives wouldn't be worth living.

It was not the end of condom-free porn. It was beginning of pro/anti-condom crusades!

Thanks for this Jessica darlin interview part, cleopatrox. :)
I just meant to say that better testing will probabely silence the condom crusaders. From 1998 onwards condomized porn was discussed again and again, after each "outbreak", but soon most companies returned to condomless porn again, because condomized porn didnt sell well enough. Condom porn will be a niche always, I bet. And besides, it´s not 100% secure, either.

I think we need to talk about it. Test is the result of health condition at the moment, but it is not the barrier protection. Fans need to understand, how much it can be dangerous shoot without condoms in porn films for their pleausre. We know, what happened in USA, what happened in Czech, what happened with Nicky Angel and more other performers. It is high risk any way and great courage. But, it is not at all. They do creampies, daps and increase risks for their health many times, and it is all for our fun. It is reality!
