What you have wrote about is thats why I wrote about micropayments and indirect targeting before. If you cannot take down the legal violators, you have to change the subject of legal violations.
The people that are making so much money on running filehosting and affiliates, are already using
micropayment principles for years.
Porn distribution has to change its ways starting right from the producers. Right now in my opinion its a self contained world with narrow vision. First everybody talked VHS,DVDs only, they sales came down so everybody started to shoot simple inline scenes, piracy took over, so many switched to VOD or Sattelite TV, pirates took over again, ...etc etc.. still moving in the same circle.

If porn (in all forms) wants to survive, it has to follow regular marketing and penetrate directly to the
customers, in front of their eyes, right to all of kinds of their devices etc.

Shooting for scenes and movies will remain only for hobbists or artists not for profit.

The music industry took a huge hit, and if it survives at all it'll be due to Apple dragging it kicking and screaming into modernity--which was exactly my point. Of course if certain ASSHOLES can't bring themselves to pay a FUCKING DOLLAR for a song, then I guess we can kiss our music goodbye, and porn will be next.

I agree. One parallel came to my mind and it is fileserver membership/credit market. Of course there are a lot of ppl not paying for anything but there is a huge amount of them actually paying for downloading, look, 2 years ago nobody belived that it will work, but now theres a legit market for it.

Porn could be the similar, something like appstore for porn - mixing online material, amateur and movies, with unified payment with PayPal or PaySec or whatever kind of this. I thing we can see kind of seed of this with the biggest online content providers (you know the names). But this is not
enough to survive, because the subject of legal violations will remain the same.

You could always create a site similar to itunes for all porn but a large reason of why itunes works is because the big music studios have a united front and are mostly all based out of the US. Porn on the other hand doesn't have a united front, isn't necessarily based out of the US and I don't expect European studios to move their offices to the US. If for no other reason than they would open the door to American Justice. Names like Max Hardcore, Seymore Butts and John Stagliano should help you understand why studios are not looking to move to the US.
