In the case of the company Sineplex, it is difficult to speculate on what might damage their reputation. I mean, they are already well known for being a B company. Using the cheapest sets, like a hotel room with horrible curtains and an orange couch on which the sex takes place. And the same shitty set is used for shooting multiple scenes... The porn girls they use range from gordeous (Cherr Jul) to unattractive and untalented (-> Lil Lezzy Prospects). Their DVD box covers sometimes have false advertising, e.g. "3 hours" when the duration is in fact 130 minutes, i.e. 50 minutes (!!) shorter than announced. Or "DP" when in fact there is only one guy in each scene.

When I look at the latest things that happened in the US (Max Hardcore found guilty on obscenity trial, John Stagliano could be the next soon), to base the company outside the US was a pretty good decicsion.

A B company? Once for sure: If more directors like Rocco would shoot in St. Petersburg the air for Sineplex and Devils would become very thin. They live because they have a kind of monopol for the lovely Russian girls, not for making outstanding porn.

I think because he's interested about the background of this company. I also would like to know, but don't think that we get an appropriate answer.

The reasons are deeper and rooted in Russian business reality, too.
Nothing gapelover wrote about when reporting from Piter laterly, though.
Maybe he didnt want to see it, maybe not speaking Russian he couldnt feel it, maybe other reasons less excusable.
Anyway, the company communication policy (via gapelover, too) ist more than strange. If you are interested, also check Wiskas problem and how gapelover (and Xavier speaking via GL) reacted (Wiska in the V.I.P. forum, page 12ff, starting with Wiskas post on Oct 20th 2007).

Anyway, I am sure, we will not get to know - even if GL knows who owns Sineplex.

Thanks dap-addict for the link to this really interesting Wiska thread. For me it's now official why the scenes Russian girls do for other studios are so much better than the ones they did for Sineplex.

Yeah I remember the pbm with Devils during a shooting in South or Central America (I think it was Panama).

The studio sent a team with a (French) director and actors to shoot in a big house.
Police is gone (because childs were present during the shooting, maybe they climbled onto the walls of house) and the director has been put in jail.

Devils didn't move one finger to help the guy (money, support etc). Only the support from France has been efficient.

But treatment of the girls on set, health issues etc. are another thing. And their secretive behavior, including a kind of PR manager shouting at people being too critical that easily doenst shed a good light on them, too. Looks like there is really something to hide.
That`s the only thing that bothers me.
