AFAIK she quit from the business early this year and her EBI page was

What is with these girls who think removing an EBI entry will erase their porn work? :?

I started another topic recently on a similar girl who (unbeknownst to me at that time) apparently had her EBI profile removed...but does she not realise that a major nude model website is still releasing her sets on a regular basis? She is even one of their top-rated models.

...

On the one hand it's nice that the people who run EBI have access to many of the hot girls of the industry and can provide us fans with scoops and insider information...but on the other, doesn't it corrupt the integrity of the database if there are models whose work is intentionally deleted?

Oh well, I guess that's life in porn-fan land...after all, this is not cancer research! 8)

she knows, she s just irrational.
about db integrity, you have a point. if you dig further into your reasoning, you will understand that even for cancer research, it's all politics, conflicts of interest and lobbying. ebi is not immune to any of that, has never been immune to it, and it has always been like that/

Yep but in many countries (that's the case in France), everybody has the right to modify or delete its personal information saved in IT system or computer database (name, adress, CC etc...) and the website must apply in theory this law.

Dontcha think a "perfect" database is on rank 2 after personal integrity?

Usually these models have suffered hell due the pleasure they gave to us. Some are banned from their family. Recently I have talked to Simi http://www.eurobabeindex.com/sbandoindex/simi.html she attends now some higher education and her classmates have discovered her hardcore vids. That causes problems until harassment, not a very nice experience. You might say its her own fault...why she did hardcore stuff, well most of these young girls are not aware that porn in internet is so popular especially due to huge amount of freeporn.
And as I mentioned in 1 of my previous posts the major problem are not the adult sites itself because most of them are blocked in the countries where they are recruting the models. So if the members would use their membership according to the terms of use not sharing stuff etc. the models wouldnt have problems and give more pleasure to us.
The problem are the copyrightviolating sites like filesharers and some tubesites. They making millions of dollars harming adult producers and their models.
I prophesie that you will see the same girls appearing over and over in xxx scenes, only the girls which have chosen porn as their profession.

i think i ve said that a zillion times, but i'll do it again...

EBI is not subject to data privacy laws such as in the US or in France because all the models signed a model release with the producer, effectively surrendering all rights to their image and their various representation in the media. As a partner of the producing companies, EBI is legally entitled to publish the info that is featured on our website, being covered by the same legal agreement that the models signed initially.

bottom line: this is not private data. Girls, you surrendered that right when you signed that little piece of paper called "model release" in exchange of money. And the clueless agents/girls/"lawyers"/boyfriends make me laugh my ass off when they try to pull the "i'll sue you" silly argument. if you want to have your info taken off EBI, you'd better know how the system works, just like anything else in life.. the hard way (me  ) or the easy way (i'll let you guess)

Well, yes, but you're missing my point I think: removal of an EBI entry will not erase the porn career; it will only make it difficult for fans to..."research".

As for some "fans" becoming stalkers, or illegally sharing files...well, again, I think this illegal behaviour has little to do with EBI entries, and certainly would not cease if EBI were to suddenly be erased entirely. To take Simi's example: remove all traces of her EBI page and it would only be marginally less likely that her classmates (and anyone else) might one day discover her porn career: there will still be dozens and dozens and dozens of TGP preview pages with her image and likeness, not to mention the full picture and video sets of her naked on the DDF sites, MET-Art, Pier999, or wherever else she poses...not to mention Rapidshare and all the torrents etc.

It's unfortunate that some people cross the boundaries of law and common decency and will violate a model's privacy with harassment...it's also unfortunate (not for the fans, but for these girls and their families) that the models aren't always intelligent or mature enough to foresee the potential social and familial ramifications of sucking a stranger's penis on camera. In the satellite TV/internet age, how hard is it to understand: once it's on video it will most likely be around forever. (I said that it's not unfortunate for the fans because if more girls did realise this, we would probably have only a very few voyeuristic, dedicated professional porn stars, as you suggested.)

Oh yes...one more thing...Bunny, your point about politics in cancer research is understood. When I mentioned the topic I merely meant to contrast "porn research" with something more important in life.

Why is everybody nagging us and Sporty while the iafd (and Google) gets away with it is beyond me. But Ebi is not a database so it makes little difference who's in it and who's not.

The problem is that our sites are known by certain people so it does matter for a few girls sometimes and that has also stopped some of them from doing hardcore or modelling at all.

Sorry but that is completely bullshits. Post a survey about filesharer profits.

And their first aim is not to share porn but all files. It's like bittorrent, there are legal uses.

Watch The Pirate Bay case, they dont make million per month.

This is very OT: file-sharing is not harming us and the producers. It will be THE END OF US and of what we consider producing nowadays.

And I mean both illegal and legal file-sharing, when people start to realize that thanks to broadband and cheap solid state mass storage they won't need any in-betweeners any longer or 10 different formats and multi-regional players or hacked this and pirated that.
For instance: when is an album out nowadays? When it's officially released or as soon as it leaks?

Anyway, this has nothing to do with the problem at hand. The model in question sounded very hurt and heartbroken, we're not a fucking database (AGAIN) and I'm not exposing everyone or trying to make anyone miserable.

Since you're all more or less "in the know" (or at least not naive anymore), you should know that being anonymous STILL plays a huge role. Since we're dealing with Eastern-Europeans only, we're part of this mechanism and that's it.

Not to get off-topic again, but...sbando, I'm just curious and puzzled: why do you repeatedly say "EBI is not a database"?

EBI contains an alphabetical listing of models and their work. It is even searchable. It is even named EuroBabe INDEX".

That fits the general definition of "database" found in any English language dictionary I've ever seen.

"A collection of data arranged for ease and speed of search and retrieval."

Some other examples here:
http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=database

Oh, and back to the topic: you said "being anonymous still plays a huge role".

No doubt...but as I said earlier, in the so-called "information age" it is irrational to expect to be anonymous. The girls are perhaps young, uneducated, desperate for money, naive, stupid, or whatever...any or all of these factors may contribute to their irrationality on this matter.

But despite this eventually more girls will realise that if they do nude modelling they are almost definitely going to be seen someday on film by someone they know, and THEN they will all stop doing HC, and THAT will be the end of the business as it is now. (Or maybe they will just all wear a mask like Sandy).

Anyways, I'm sorry Lily has dropped out of HC, and also sorry that her brief stint in adult films has caused her so much grief in her personal life. :(

As for the other stuff you said about the adult and general entertainment industries: it has already happened: for a few years now some music artists have been releasing material ONLY in digital format (although so far it's usually just bonus tracks and minor stuff). Just last week the creators of Family Guy announced they will make a new series to air directly on the internet, without a major studio involved...unless you want to consider Google to be a major studio...which maybe they want to become  :

I don't dispute your basic point, but...seriously  , what percent of file-sharing is for legal use, do you think?

Just a guess, but I'd say it's

64% illegal music and movie downloads (mainstream Hollywood movies)
34% illegal porn downloads
1-2% legitimate file-sharing

Well, litterally it is a database, so it's just down to re-phrasing it or putting down some ground rules.

To me a database is iafd or egafd, because their goal is to list every single girl (and boy) in every single movie that ever was, plus all the combinations that their programming skills allow. Egafd has some arbitrary self-limitations, iafd's limit is the sky.

Eurobabeindex is a collection of girls we like from producers we like (DDF and Pierre at first, then all the rest). So if "girl x" from a certain movie or site is missing, it's not a hole. I know some people will cringe at the notion but who cares. If I were born perfect I'd be a rockstar and married to a supermodel and not a webmaster-guy.

About the rest. I agree that it's naive to think that by removing a page in here or at SportyOne you will get a clean slate in your life. But it's a FACT that we've been bombed by dozens and dozens of requests in the past years. And that we're also a "thumbs" site of sorts, so we can't work against the sites we're affiliated with. And if it's Pierre or Tigris asking, what do you think we're going to do? And if it's girls like "Lily", sounding truly hurt and damaged, what do you think we're going to do? Keep the database intact for nerdiness' sake?

Many artists and producers are trying different means of distribution for their work. I don't think we've seen any definitive answer to the phenomenon.
People like me are scared as fuck because going back to a daily job is not an option.
